The New York Times may be making a preemptive strike at the forthcoming smeary part of the campaign as the big guns are rolled out by the now shaky McCain campaign. The Mayor for Life in Chicago Dick Daley has largely forgiven Bill Ayers and his standing as a "good" reformer is solid. But expect to pull out your history books and Google those turbulent days in your Google machine, because the past may be prologue in this attack on Obama's relationship with Ayers.
