Big Blogs Nap While OJ Takes The Rap

The Really: Have big blogs forgotten how to be blogs?

10:11pm PT 10-3-2008 The news is reported on CNN that OJ is guilty of all counts and Blog Really posts the details. Within a half hour TMZ, Los Angeles Times, New York Times post stories online with all the same basic information.

But two hours later the big three of blogs: Huffington Post, Radar and Gawker have not a word. Some commentors on those sites have posted the news but the bloggers themselves are silent. Are the writers and editors out drinking on Friday night after a brutal week for the country and the blogosphere? Is it really not a big enough story to bother to turn on the box and throw something up? Or have they simply forgotten what makes blogs great and often better than MSM, and that is for good or ill, that they are fast.

  2. Subject Line: Beat Long Poll Lines with Absentee Ballots from StateDemocracy.org
Many state and local election officials are encouraging voters to use Absentee Ballots to avoid the long lines and delays expected at the polls on November 4th due to the record-breaking surge in newly registered voters.
Voters in most states still have time to obtain an Absentee Ballot by simply downloading an official application form available through www.StateDemocracy.org, a completely FREE public service from the nonprofit State Democracy Foundation.
