The Last One Out Forgot To Turn Off The Lights

The Really: The Los Angeles Times has published a lengthy article today detailing the failings of John McCain as a naval aviator?

As a new round of buyouts and firings hit the Los Angeles Times, it chose today for a detailed analysis of why McCain was nicknamed "Ace" by his commanders: it was due to several plane crashes he had in his days as a naval aviator.

The piece shows McCain pushed the envelope when flying and in one incident was "clowning" around before one crash. The next thing LAT is going to tell us is that he likes to gamble (especially craps) and THAT HE IS OLD. Oh, and that HE IS CRANKY.

The editor of this piece must be a bit tone deaf or thought this was somehow big news (some of it is taken from McCain's biography) but mostly it seems to be silly.
