The Really: As the real press and the citizen journalists and nutcase commentors flail on and about Sarah Palin and family, we are left with the last bastion of investigation journalism to untangle the Palin-drome of rumors: The National Enquirer.
But rumors are like broken clocks; one is right at least twice a day. Not this one though. The narrative of Todd's former business partner trying to seal his divorce papers --which was held up as PROOF positive of an affair with the veep-nom--turns out to be proof of nothing more than a desire for privacy. The Smoking Gun has read the whole file and...nada.
The Daily Kos "immaculate timeline" has fallen out of favor in the canon of PALIN SECRETS and the more MSM journalists like Kurtz at the Post and Andrew Sullivan at Atlantic have been voodoo stuck by every neocon with a keyboard for EVEN MENTIONING a rumor. Well the rumor which landed here at blogreally.com via Alaska's Mudflats (our new favorite blog) is "did Track Palin participate in a major vandalism event with three others in 2005 which resulted in his patriotic enlistment in the military?" We will shortly be publishing a post: THE BIG BOOK OF TRACK PALIN RUMOR LINKS which we hope will show the good, the bad, and the ugly of the search for the truth and the power of tittle-tale.
Update: Having read many of the rumors regarding this rumor, the comment which landed in one of our stories hold a little less weight for me.
