New York Times Magazine Claims It Owns Olde English!

The Really: The new LA Times magazine (which is really a magazine called LA distributed inside the Sunday Times but is not the old Los Angeles Times magazine) is stealing the Olde English greatness of the New York Times Magazine and its online "T".

The New York Times nameplate was an original font composed only of those letters and its closest cousin is English Towne. So in a sense it is impossible to "rip it off".

Of course if you have spent any time at all living in LA, you would know what the LA magazine type is very "gangy" and hence quite original itself.
