Obama And McCain Jib and Jab At 4 Million Dollar Dinner

The Really: Barack Obama took some long overdue shots at John McCain and his short comings. They were really funny too...

When I heard John and Barack lambaste one another all in the name of fun last night hopefully I was not the only one that got some much needed relief from the regular stump speeches. What I find really funny is that each candidate were able to make some major digs at one another as well as themselves. From Mad Magazine ears to jokes about McCain knowing people during the prohibition, the jokes just didn't stop. I thought the slams were fairly delivered and I also think that the writers of the humor (certainly not McCain or Obama) did some of the best work that either of the two candidates have read to a crowd in 12 months.

McCain presented first and came out swinging with Obama following up and delivering a flurry of shots that he had not delivered personally yet. This was the time and the place for Barack Obama to bring some issues such as age to light. Whether you like him or not, Obama has withstood pot shot after pot shot from both McCain and Palin directly. While Obama's campaign has certainly fought back and taken their share of opportunities to expose McCain's flaws; Obama has never really delivered any punches with the gloves off until last night.

Overall, I thought last night was a good night off from serious politics and stupid campaign tricks. I am still watching some of the clips because they were REALLY that funny. Enjoy!

Obama called "Grace Under Pressure"

The Really: Barack Obama stayed calm, cool and collected while John McCain went for the HailMary and really got intercepted!

With Barack Obama having a double digit lead (in some polls) his plan was to stay the course, keep to the issues and dispel some rumors. John McCain on the other hand needed to change this campaign, be clear and steal this debate. Senator McCain did not steal this debate and to his dismay he may have lost more ground. McCain was very scattered with his line of thinking, was not very clear and concise and when we tried to attack Senator Obama, Obama was able to defend himself well.

McCain did seem more alive tonight but I believe his fall from grace over the past month is only going to hurt that much harder when November 4th comes around. Unless McCain can explain to a few hundred million people why Joe The Plumber should be his new running mate I believe we will have our first black president. McCain's Hail Mary attempt at winning this debate came up an incomplete pass...

And The Winner Is...

Obama "The Arab" Can't Be Trusted?

The Really: The Republicans have really done a bang up job at educating their constituents.

At one of John McCain's now INfamous Town Hall meetings he got booed by his crowd. A woman from the audience at a Town Hall meeting in Minnesota said Barak Obama could not be trusted because he was an Arab. John McCain stood there looking stunnded and saddened by what he had just heard. For one of the first times in this race it seems that the nasty tatics had caught up with him and you coudl see it all over his face. Well you get what you put of there John "The Maverick" McCain and what you have put out there is misinformation and fear during your bid for the presidency. The one redeeming part of this entire fiasco was that John McCain swallowed his pride and corrected the woman. When he said Barak Obama was a "decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States." you could hear boos from the crowd. The sad part of this story isn't the fact that this happened today, it is the fact that this type of ignorance happens everyday and the candidates do nothing to clear the air until it is too late. Shame Shame Shame, we know your name!

I am not quite sure how you can have one of the most pathetic and disgusting moments in American history along with one of the most redeeming but it happened today. And we wonder why some people dislike Americans?

Out With The Old, In With The ...

The Really: Does John McCain really stand a chance against the poster boy for Hope?

Both candidates were perched up on that stage for 90 minutes. Both candidates stood fast and continued to secure their party's vote. Both candidates hemmed and hawed at what the other said at times but both candidates did not come out equal. I stand neither right or left, nor right of left but what I saw tonight, what we all saw tonight if we chose to watch with objective eyes was a stark difference between our two candidates. It wasn't white and black, it wasn't Democrat or Republican; it was old versus new. It didn't have as much to do with age as it had to do with aging ideas.

No one in their right or left mind for that matter will stand up and say that Barak Obama is totally different then everyone else in Washington. No one will tell you he doesn't like a little earmark here and there. No one is even saying that his plans for health care or getting our economy on back on track are totally original and outstanding. What you will hear is that he seems the most "with it." That Barak seems to have his finger on the pulse of the MAJORITY more so then Senator McCain. To this I cannot disagree. Barak is certainly a politician, however, in this case one home is better then 9 and two cars are better then twelve.

Our economy will not be fixed on the laurels of John McCain's time in a POW camp. Terrorism will not subside because Sarah Palin can see Russia from her deck (and she can't). There will be more.

Ten Questions They Are Afraid To Ask At The Vice Presidential Debate

The Really: Why does no one really ask the hard questions?

To both candidates:
1: What does the vice president really do?

To Governor Palin:
2: If John McCain died would you turn Alaska into the Capitol of the United States? (It's bigger then DC)

To both candidates:
3: Why are you getting paid to hold your current Senate/Governor position when you are just out campaigning?

To Governor Palin:
4: Do you care more about getting out of Troopergate or getting out of Iraq?

To both candidates:
5: Can either of you tell me why George Bush has not been impeached?

To Senator Biden:
6: Will you and Barak Obama have a secret handshake with a fist pound at the end?

To both candidates:
7: Can either of you tell me why Vice President Dick Cheney has not been impeached?

To Senator Biden:
8: All things being the same, would you rather vote for a black man or a white woman?

To both candidates:
9: Are either of you willing to tell on your boss if you see them doing something wrong?

To both candidates:
10: Do you think you are more qualified to run this country then the man you may be running under?

Obama's Secret Debate Weapon

The Really: Will Obama try to provoke McCain's notorious temper in the debate?

As reported by many news sources but so quaintly by the Brits, Barack Obama will attempt to provoke McCain and make him rage during Friday's debate. But we have the scoop on the "secret face" which Obama will use to heat-up a McCain meltdown.
