Download Report here

Tom Petty: The Waiting (Is The Hardest Part)
Update 2: From the Anchoradge Daily News 2:15 p.m.: Rep. Nancy Dahlstrom just told us to expect to wait another hour before we hear anything.

National pressure on Alaska legislature in hours before the release of the Troopergate report. The legislature has to vote to make the report public tomorrow. The report will examine if Governor Sarah Palin or those around her used the Governor's office to retaliate against the former Director of Public Safety for refusing to fire Palin's former brother-in-law.

Background of the investigation.

Report From Outside The Meeting Room

Untold Chapter of Troopergate

From Anchorage Daily News: During the closed legislative hearing, a group of about 50 supporters of Gov. Sarah Palin stood on the sidewalk outside the legislative building. They waved signs that said "Palin Power," "Sarah's Right" and "Not Guilty," and they chanted "Go, Sarah, Go" and "Who's the best mom in the world - Sarah."

Todd Palin's Rogs

The Really: Todd Palin answers questions in Troopergate inquiry.

The beacon of the north Mudflats blog has posted the official response to the interrogatories (this is a .pdf of some size so wait for it to load) by the Alaska legislature to Todd Palin in the Troopergate scandal. It is interesting reading. It also shows if Sarah Palin ever becomes President of the United States you might want to rename the country: United States of America RFD.

Palin's Magnificent 7 To Give Statements In Troopergate Probe

The Really: The Alaskan State Government is really going to hold Governor Sarah Palin's feet to the fire and have her staff answer some question.

The headline may read "7 in Palin's administration agree to give statements in probe" but if you read the fine print, all 7 didn't agree willingly. All 7 had fought tooth and nail to dodge the subpoenas but it seems the truth may be catching up after all. Stay tuned to find out what happens, and we'll be back in just a minute.

Troopergate: It's Not Over Till It's Over

The Really: Hollis French a State Senator in Alaska says the Troopergate investigation will continue and conclude by the second week of October according to Mudflats blog.

The press from ABC to Radar basically have thrown up their hands at the clever attempts to delay the findings in the Troopergate investigation until after the national election. Todd Palin has refused to testify (The First Elude?) and severals others in state government will need to be served again to appear. But according to Hollis French it will go on. But wait: Breaking! Troopergate is not dead. It is just different. Sort of like if instead of Watergate, Nixon had HIS OWN Watergate commission made up of people HE COULD FIRE. Well that is what apparently Gov. Palin is going to do.
